Rigged Mesh Adventures

Coming Soon - [H] Nappa Boot

Rather than solely using this blog to announce work that is out and available for purchase, I’d like to start using this blog as a, well blog. So I decided to give everyone a glimpse into ZBrush to see what I’ve been working on: some rigged mesh boots.

Both Tobias and I have agreed that we’d like our brand [Handverk] to be associated with ‘handmade’, or custom-made products. We’ve spent quite a bit of time learning different programs and techniques to allow us to create truly unique content for our customers.  It has been no small feat to say the least, I have spent months and months self-learning ZBrush while Tobias is still creating a workflow that incorporates Maya. And just when I finally get a handle on techniques that I like, Linden Labs rolled out mesh. So I’ve been spending some time learning new tricks to get something fun and fashionable out there.

Though these boots are probably a bit of a ways off, they still need to be textured, different sizes need to be made and I have to figure out how to rig (which can’t be done in ZBrush! boo), I thought it would be nice to give everyone a peek.
